The Setting

Opening for weddings in spring 2017, The Mill Barns wedding venue will consist of three magnificent, interconnected, oak-framed barns, a stunning eight-acre landscaped garden, an unrivalled waterside location, and onsite accommodation of the utmost luxury.

The venue will also be exclusively yours for your special day and is easily accessible from Shropshire, Worcestershire, Herefordshire, Warwickshire, Staffordshire and the West Midlands.

The Vibe

The Mill Barns will provide magical locations for both inside and outside civil ceremonies. The Mill Wheel Barn, complete with exposed timber beams coupled with the dramatic, glazed aspect overlooking The Mill Pond, sets a truly unforgettable scene for you and your partner to exchange vows. Enjoy the natural light pouring in and the delightful views outside as you tie the knot. The Mill Wheel Barn will be capable of seating 170 people for a civil ceremony but its thoughtful design means that it will feel just right when it comes to smaller ceremonies too.

To make the most of the British summer, your ceremony can be held on The Mill Pond Terrace providing a unique location on the water where you can say ‘I do’. Surrounded by the utterly relaxing gardens, this outdoor setting is a great option to provide a laid-back atmosphere while you and your guests enjoy soaking up the sun.

For those looking for a traditional church wedding ceremony, the wonderful Alveley Church is less than a mile away and will happily accommodate couple from further afield.

One of the most exciting plans for this venue is the gardens that the interconnecting barns will sit in. The site was once home to a 17th Century water mill and sits on the banks of a key tributary of the River Severn and is surrounded by the glorious English countryside. Once completed, the venue will encompass a cascading waterfall, a large meadow dotted with wildflowers and a tranquil brook, all of which will create a feeling of serenity and relaxation on your special day. Guests will be instantly amazed as they approach the venue, with it appearing to float entirely on the water. They will then cross the elegant footbridge and enter the barns to celebrate the big day.

The Mill Barns will offer beautifully designed and furnished accommodation for the newlywed couple and up to 50 wedding guests.

The Waterscapes Suite will be a wonderfully luxurious place for the happy couple to unwind after their big day. Complete with the finest furnishings, picturesque views and a delightfully comfortable bed, it truly is a special place to spend the night.

Guests will be able to stay in the highly desirable and well-finished Mill Brook Rooms or Meadow Rooms, which will provide an excellent night’s sleep after dancing the night away.

After your ceremony is the perfect time to enjoy drinks with your friends and family. At The Mill Barns, whether you opt for a traditional glass of champagne or something entirely different, the catering team will work with you to create your own bespoke drinks package to suit your day.

The same can be said about your wedding breakfast too and once seated in the delightful Mill Pond Barn, your guests will be able to enjoy a truly personal menu which you have been able to have total control over. The Mill Barns will happily cater for parties between 25 and 175 and the versatile barn location is capable of accommodating parties of all sizes while still providing a wonderful ambience.
