The Setting

The Hyde Estate are inviting a few couples each year to have their lakeside wedding reception between 18th April and 18th October in the enchanting Wild Garden, a private venue deep in the middle of 850 acres of tranquil woods and countryside in West Sussex.

The Hyde Estate has been home to the same family for a hundred years. They have loved and managed the woodlands, farm, lakes and planted the Wild Garden with its stunning carpets of spring flowers, huge redwood trees and autumn colour, and its trickling stream.

This stunning spot feels like it’s in the middle of nowhere, but it’s actually 20 minutes from Brighton and 1 hour from London. It has good transport links – Gatwick airport is very easily accessible.

The Vibe

This Estate and its Wild Garden is stunning and romantic at any time of year, whether it is covered in delicate bell heather, daffodils, or the jaw-droppingly beautiful blossoms that few places can match. Imagine having it all to yourselves…

Couples have designed all sorts of weddings here – starting with the families own children getting married here: one going for a smart country chic look and the other a flamboyant bohemian style!

In 2019 the stunning Oyster Pearl marquee will be in place – complete with twinkling lights, soft draping and extraordinary views. A catering tent is also set up ready for you to bring in whoever you think will serve up a feast for you. The venue is completely flexible with suppliers, allowing you to create the day you want. There are also high quality temporary loos in place – one less thing for you to sort!

It’s your day not theirs, and the family very much want you to make this beautiful spot your own. Do get in touch and tell them what you’d like and they’ll do their best to help you make your wedding truly unforgettable.
