The Matara Centre is located approximately 20 minutes from either junction 18 on the M4 or junction 13, minutes off the M5. The venues is just 30 minutes north of Bath, 40 minutes from central Bristol and 35 minutes from Cheltenham and Gloucester.
Matara has been built on earth-friendly principles and provides the perfect setting for you to celebrate in a personal and individual way. The owner, Geoffrey, is a trained celebrant who can help you craft vows which truly reflect the life you wish to lead together. The venue encourage you to involve your family and friends in your wedding preparations, and have plenty of ideas to help both adults and children break the ice, have fun, and enjoy your wedding.
As a Social Enterprise they are committed to supporting you in creating a joyful, authentic wedding and a happy and fulfilling marriage. Matara invites you to be creative; you are free to make the space your own, to fit your colour scheme and theme. The Centre is licensed for Civil Ceremonies & Civil Partnerships, both indoor and outdoor.
Matara offers accommodation for up to 26 people on site in Kingscote Park House, the Lodge and Zen rooms. They offer a wide range of menus and dishes, all prepared with love and care – their fresh food is local, fresh, seasonal and organic.
