Knepp is a 3,500 acre Estate in West Sussex just south of Horsham. The Estate has been owned by the Burrells for over 220 years. At its heart, overlooking Knepp Lake, is a castle built by the architect John Nash, which remains the family home. Springwood Lake, found within the beautiful grounds, is the perfect spot for a marquee or tipi wedding reception.
The historical parkland of Knepp Estate is home to free-roaming animals that live a near-natural life in a project that seeks to emulate a time before mankind. It’s all about biodiversity. Herds of longhorn cattle, Exmoor ponies and deer quietly go about their business driving vegetation changes and creating habitat for wildlife.
It’s this unique environment and connection to nature that draws couples to host special celebrations. Knepp have been working with Beautiful World Tents to provide venues for many happy couples in their glorious lakeside location.
There is ample parking, and some couples have camped in the park to add to the experience – the estate will allow up to 10 bell tents for guest glamping accommodation.
For the more flamboyant, there is plenty of space for helicopters & hot-air balloons!
