At the heart of the Kingscote Estate is the stunning 15th century Tythe Barn – an idyllic space for weddings. Surrounded by the vineyards, orchards, lakes and rolling countryside and not forgetting the romantic Bluebell Railway steam train. There are many photo opportunity within the estate. The lakes, the Medway river, wooden gates and vineyards are amongst the many potential photo settings.
East Grinstead train station is a 5 minute drive away which has mainline trains to London together with the Bluebell steam train to Kingscote station (a ten minute stroll down the lane).
Kingscote has a civil ceremonies licence, so if you wish, you can spend your whole day in the Tythe Barn. Once you are through the great oak doors you are wecomed into a warm and inviting space with under-floor heating and oak beams. Large French doors at the rear of the barn open out to a picturesque seating area with a bridge over a babbling brook.
An excellent party space with stone floors for dancing, sound system and lights that can change colour to suit the mood. The state-of-the-art kitchen is fully equipped and also has a stylish drink serving area.
The barn has a seating capacity of 130 with round tables. Catering options range from a 3 course hog roast to a lavish 5 course meal. Kingscote‘s award winning wines include Cuvee Christen sparkling, Chardonnay, Fat Fume, White Pinot Noir and The Bacchus.
