The Setting

Godwick is a place to celebrate life, commitment and love.

Surrounded by unspoiled views of the Norfolk countryside, Godwick Great Barn is an unrivalled rustic wedding venue. A wonderful setting that can be customised, so you can have the wedding day you always dreamed of having.

The Vibe

Relaxed and informal are the magical ingredients for this venue…

An ancient barn that has stood for centuries set amidst a historic landscape, Godwick offers an event venue that is a harmonious mix of traditional and modern, blending ancient architecture with contemporary additions. Godwick pride themselves on their friendly and personal service and the team want you to be able to have the event of your choice, so they try not to have too many rules! As a Bride & Groom searching for that perfect venue, you’ll quickly realise that flexibility is an important factor and no one does it better than Godwick!

You will instantly be welcomed at Godwick, as will your guests, as though you are a new member of the family. So much so, the experience will be one that you will want to tell others about for many years to come… Here, you can say your vows outside whilst your guests sit on haybales, you can dine under the twinkling lights of the Great Barn, play traditional garden games during a relaxed drinks reception, take a spin on a tractor made-for-two, glamp it up in the surrounding fields or bed down in one of the luxury B&B rooms at Godwick Hall.

To say I’m smitten with this venue would be an understatement. Take a look through the gallery, it’s a Smörgåsbord of rustic delights!

Schlamping

Shlamping is the new glamping (obvs) and the folks at Godwick are flying the flag for this brand new style of Shepherd Hut accommodation. A conglomeration of glamping, champers and shepherds, they feel it provides a good description of life in their new huts.

Three Shepherd Huts have joined the Godwick scenery tucked into a small wooden glade behind Godwick Hall, each boasting fabulous unspoilt views of Godwick’s landscape and sunsets. Brides and Grooms can either stay in the lovely huts themselves or reserve them for friends and family who they want nearby for their weekend wedding celebrations.

The three huts come with some fabulous mod cons and have lovely design features, such as oak wooden floors, butler sinks and narrow boat wood burners. Hot running water, a mini fridge, microwave, oak work top, loo, shower and of course a lovely double bed. As well as a comfortable night’s sleep, guests in each hut can order a Continental breakfast to be delivered to the hut or with prior arrangement a cooked breakfast served at Godwick Hall.
